After pairing up in ‘Ahista Ahista’, Abhay Deol and Soha Ali Khan would be seen together again in a film titled ‘Meridian’.

An ensemble piece that also stars Arjun Rampal and Irrfan Khan, the film is written and directed by debutant Venod Mitra and produced by Nilesh Dadhich and Angad Paul. As per Abhay, the film belongs to a completely different genre than his two released films ‘Socha Na Tha’ and ‘Ahista Ahista’. Also viewers would be seeing him and Soha in a different light than ‘Ahista Ahista’.

Though debutant Shivam Nair directed ‘Ahista Ahista’ was a well made film with some truly pertaining moments and very good music by Himesh Resahmmiya, it was a disaster at the box office due to poor promotion and bad release strategy. With ‘Meridian’, Abhay and Soha would be hoping that they the film is promoted and released well and their work is apprised by the audience.

Abhay Deol could well be the first high profile actor from mainstream cinema who has worked with five unequalled setups with debutant directors in his first five films. While Imtiaz Ali (who is now gearing up with JAB WE MET) made his directorial debut with SOCHA NA THA, Shivam Nair was the man behind AHISTA AHISTA. Even though neither of the two films worked at the box office, Abhay was noticed and appreciated.

Abhay Deol has been critically acclaimed for his performances in hit movie Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and Dev D and intustry expects much from this vibrant and effortless star. Lets see how this avid actor lives upto the expectations of his following.
